Ingredients

  • 1 cup - roasted semiya
  • 1/2 cup - grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup - grated coconut
  • 1 - onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 - green chillies (chopped)
  • 1-inch piece - ginger (chopped)
  • 1 - tomato (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 350ml - water
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves, to garnish

How to Make Easy semiya pulav

  • Heat oil in a pan, and saute onion, ginger, and green chillies (the colour must not change.).
  • Add in the chopped tomatoes and saute well.
  • Add enough salt and water and let it boil.
  • Once the water starts bubbling, add the roasted semiya, mix, and cook covered for 5 minutes.
  • Add in the grated carrot and coconut and garnish with coriander leaves; serve hot.
