  • Wheat rava - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped nuts - 50 g
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Saffron - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar to taste

How to Make Easy Wheat Halwa

  • Soak wheat rava in plenty of water for 5 to 6 hours.
  • Grind in the mixer and extract the milk. Repeat this for a few times adding fresh water every time. (4 -5 cups)
  • Allow the extract to settle, undisturbed for at least 8 hours in a tall vessel.
  • Then remove the water and measure the settled milk.
  • Take 1.5 cups of sugar for every 1 cup of milk, mix very well and add a little keas colour.
  • Cook it in a pressure cooker.
  • After the 1st whistle, lower the flame and cook for 45 mins.
  • Open after the pressure drops and beat thoroughly with a wooden spatula.
  • In a non-stick pan, add ghee, chopped nuts and then hallway and flavouring.
  • Stir till it becomes a thick mass. Remove, cool, spread and level.
