Ingredients

  • 1 small cup - plain rice
  • 100 g - peas
  • 2 - (cut into different shapes) carrot
  • 1 - (cut into different shapes) potato
  • 1/4 tsp - jeera
  • 4 or 5 tsp - ghee
  • A pinch - turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Geometry vegetable rice

  • Soak the cup of plain rice in water, for about 20 minutes. Cut potatoes and carrots in various shapes like triangle, semi-circle, square, etc. Take a deep frying pan and add ghee and roast the jeera.
  • Add the vegetables and turmeric powder and saute for a minute.
  • Add just enough water to the vegetables and let it boil for 4-5 minutes.
  • Do not over cook the vegetables.
  • Add the soaked rice, some more water (just enough to cook the rice) and salt.
  • Cover the pan and let it cook, with occasional stirring.
  • After the rice is cooked, allow it to cool and serve it with a cup of plain curd.
  • Add a pinch of salt to the curd to make it tastier.
