Ingredients

  • 2 cups - whole meal self-rising flour
  • 1 cup - ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup - brown sugar
  • 100 g - ginger
  • 100 g - walnuts
  • 50 g - poly saturated margarine
  • 1 - egg

How to Make Ginger Cake with Banana

  • Mash banana well. Finely chop ginger.
  • Cream margarine and sugar until smooth.
  • Add lightly beaten egg and mashed bananas and mix well.
  • Now add sifted flour returning husks to the mixture, walnuts and ginger.
  • Combine and pour out into a greased cake tin and bake at 180 degree C for 1 hour or until golden brown.
