  • Basmati rice - 1 cup
  • Cinnamon - 3
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Cloves - 3
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Ghee - 4 tbsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • salt

How to Make Ginger-garlic rice

  • Wash and soak basmati rice for 20 minutes.
  • Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and bay leaf to it.
  • Once the colour of spices change, add the ginger garlic paste and onions and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add soaked rice, 1.5 cups of water, salt to taste and cook for 8 minutes in medium flame.
  • Serve it hot with any gravy.
