  • Grated coconut - 1 cup
  • Ginger -1/2 inch
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Tamarind - 1 piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Oil for tadka

How to Make Goan Coconut Chutney

  • Grind coconut, green chillies, ginger, salt, sugar and tamarind in the mixie.
  • Make a tadka of oil, urad dal, mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chillies, asafoetida and pour it in the ground chutney and enjoy it with idlis or dosas.
