  • 4 cup - cooked rice
  • 1 cup - coriander leaves, chopped
  • ½ cup - onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup - green mango, peeled and chopped finely
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 red chili, broken into 2 pieces
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds, crushed
  • ½ tsp - black pepper corns, crushed
  • salt to taste

How to Make Green Mango and Coriander Rice

  • Heat the oil in a kadai. Add mustard. When it splutters, add cumin, pepper and red chili.
  • After few seconds, add green chili and onion. Fry till onion is light brown.
  • Add mango and fry till it turns slightly soft. Add coriander leaves.
  • Add rice and salt. Mix well. Cover and keep on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve hot with potato wafers or papad.
