  • 3 cups - rice
  • Coriander - 1 bunch
  • Few sprigs - curry leaves
  • Garam masala - Cloves, Cinnamon sticks
  • 3 - cloves of garlic
  • 2 " piece -ginger
  • 2 - onions
  • 8 - green chillies
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • 1.5 tsp of garam masala powder
  • Salt

How to Make Hara Bhara Rice

  • Make a paste of the coriander, curry leaves, chillies, ginger, garlic and half the onions.
  • Finely chop the rest of the onions.
  • Cook rice separately.
  • Pour some oil and add whole garam masala, like cloves, cardamom etc.
  • Fry the finely chopped onions, add the paste, add 1 tsp chilli powder and garam masala powder.
  • Add salt. Fry this mixture for some time and add a little water and then add the cooked rice and mix well.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
