Ingredients

  • Idli - 6
  • Onion- 2
  • Tomato-1
  • Tomato puree - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil

How to Make Idly kaima

  • Cut idlies into small cubes.
  • Take small amount of oil in a pan.
  • Fry idlies and remove from pan.
  • Take oil in the pan and saute finely chopped onions and add ginger garlic paste.
  • When onion is sauteed, add finely chopped tomatoes and saute.
  • Add tomato puree and continue sauteing till it is done.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt.
  • When the gravy is ready, add fried idlies to it and mix thoroughly.
  • Add coriander leaves to it and keep it closed for 2 minutes.
  • Idly kaima is ready to serve.
