Ingredients

  • 2 cups - pasta
  • 1 tsp - sambar powder
  • 1 - onion
  • 1 - tomato
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - mixed vegetables
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard seeds
  • A few - curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - pav bhaji masala

How to Make Indian Style Pasta - masala pasta

  • Cook the pasta according to the instructions and drain the water and keep aside.
  • Slice the onions and finely chop the vegetables- like carrots, capsicum, corn kernels, green peas, broccoli, cauliflower and tomatoes.
  • In a pan add oil and splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Add in the sliced onions and when it turns pink add the tomatoes.
  • Cook in a medium flame till the tomatoes are cooked.
  • Add in the chopped vegetables and add the sambar powder, salt ( just for the vegetables), turmeric powder and the pavbhaji masala.
  • Mix well and cook it for some time
  • Add the cooked pasta to this. Before adding the pasta run the pasta in cold water in a colander.
  • Mix well and cook in a low flame for 3-4 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
