Ingredients

  • 1 cup - milk powder
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - ghee
  • 3/4 cup - sugar
  • 1 litre - milk
  • 1 - egg
  • A few saffron strands
  • 1/2 cup - pista

How to Make Jhatpat Rasmalai

  • Boil the milk with sugar and saffron strands in a pan.
  • Make a soft dough with the milk powder, ghee, baking powder and lightly beaten egg.
  • Make small balls from the dough, flatten them a bit and add to the boiling milk.
  • Turn over the balls after 5 minutes and again after another 5 minutes.
  • Cook for 2 more minutes, then turn off the flame and let the rasmalai cool.
  • Add finely chopped pista.
  • Serve chilled.
