Ingredients

  • 500 g - tapioca
  • 1 tsp - 2 red chilli powder
  • 3 tsp - gram flour/besan
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp - rice powder
  • 1/4 tsp - asafetida
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

How to Make Kappa fry

  • Boil tapioca till half cooked.
  • Cut the cooked tapioca into thin slices.
  • In a bowl, combine all powders, curry leaves and salt.
  • Add a little water to this mixture to make a thick paste.
  • Put all the tapioca pieces into this thick batter.
  • Deep fry 3-4 tapioca pieces together till golden brown.
