  • 1 lb - Karela
  • 1 tbsp - Lime juice
  • Red chilli powder - As per taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Karela Salad

  • Wash and slice the karelas into thin rounds.
  • Apply salt and leave it for an hour.
  • Drain out the water and dry it in the sun for a couple of days.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry the dried karelas till golden brown (do not deep fry).
  • Sprinkle red chilli powder and mix well with lime juice before serving.
  • Garnish with finely chopped fresh cilantro and onion.
