Ingredients

  • 2 cup - boiled / precooked rice
  • 1 cup - cucumber, chopped with skin
  • 1 cup - beaten yogurt/ curd
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup - coriander stems and leaves, chopped
  • For tempering:
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - split bengal gram( chana dal)
  • 1 tbsp - clarified butter
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 - green chilli, slit

How to Make Kheera Dahi Bhaat

  • Take beaten yogurt, boiled rice, chopped cucumber and salt in a bowl.
  • Toss well and set it aside.
  • Heat clarified butter in a pan, add bengal gram, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and stir. Add red chilli powder.
  • Cook for a minute on low heat.
  • Add this tempering to the rice yogurt mixture.
  • Toss it well with a spoon .
  • Serve chilled.
  • You may serve it as salad.
