  • 1/2 kg - tender ladyfingers/okra
  • 2 - onions, chopped finely
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - ginger and garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 - medium size tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • salt for taste

How to Make Lady's Finger (Okra) And Tomato Curry

  • Wash ladyfingers and dry them well.
  • Cut them into thin round shapes and them keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard.
  • When they splutter, add curry leaves and onions and fry till they turn golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes.
  • Now, add the ladyfingers and mix well.
  • Cook on low heat for a few minutes till the ladyfingers are cooked.
  • Care should be taken not to overcook or they will get smashed.
