  • ½ litre yoghurt
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 lemon juice, strained
  • 125 gms. Mango, finely chopped
  • ¼ litre water
  • Pieces of mango for garnish
  • For yoghurt:
  • ¼ litre milk
  • 1 tbsp. yoghurt

How to Make Mango Yoghurt

  • Pour the milk into the pan and bring it to boil over moderate heat, stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat. Cool until slightly warm.
  • Whip in the yoghurt and leave to set without disturbing. Whisk the yoghurt until it is smooth. Remove and discard any skin that may have formed on the surface of the milk.
  • Pour the milk onto the yoghurt and blend the mixture by whisking it well. Ladle the mixture into pots and place the pots in a deep pan. Pour warm water into the pan to reach halfway up the sides of the pots.
  • Cover the pots completely, and leave the mixture in a warm place until set.
  • Store the yoghurt, covered in the refrigerator, it will set more as it chills and will keep for a week.
  • Cut and slice mango and dice the flesh. Pour yoghurt into a large bowl. Add the mango, honey, lemon juice and water to the yoghurt.
  • Blend the ingredients thoroughly by stirring until the fruit is well distributed throughout the mixture.
  • Put mixture into the refrigerator to chill. To serve, ladle the chilled mixture into glasses and garnish with a few mango pieces.
