  • 2 cups - wheat flour
  • 1 tsp - ajwain
  • Red Chilli powder (or green pepper) - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp - oil

How to Make Masala Bhakhri

  • Mix all ingredients and make a stiff dough.
  • Make balls (luva) and roll them (little thicker than chapatti) in about 6" diameter.
  • On a hot griddle, bake the bhakhri on one side without oil and then turn to bake the other side.
  • Turn the first side over again and add about half tsp of oil around the bhakhri which should go under the bhakhri.
  • Then, press lightly with the spatula and turn the other side over and press lightly.
  • Bake all bhakhris one by one until light brown.
