Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rice
  • 1 - onion
  • 1/2 cup - green peas
  • 1/2 cup - tindora (tendli)
  • 1 - potato
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Dry masala:
  • 3 tbsp - dry grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp - coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp - jeera
  • 5 flakes - garlic
  • 4 - green chillies
  • 1 - small piece of ginger
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - galdi powder
  • 1.5 tsp - goda masala

How to Make Masala Bhat

  • Grind the dry masala and keep aside.
  • Heat oil and add 2 bay leaves.
  • Then add onion and fry till light brown.
  • Add rice, peas, tendli, potato and fry for a minute.
  • Add the ground masala. Stir.
  • Add 2 cups hot water and cook till rice is done.
