  • Boiled Potatoes - 1 kg
  • Peas - 1/2 kg
  • Onions - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Salt, chilli, Turmeric Powder to taste
  • 2 tsps - Kala Masala
  • Breadcrumbs powder - 1 cup
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Matar Patties

  • Mash boiled potatoes and make a dough by adding a little salt. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in pan and add onions. Fry till a little pinkish, then add peas.
  • Stir and add turmeric and chilli powder as per taste.
  • Then add 2 tsp of kala masala, salt and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Make patties by stuffing potato dough with prepared bhajji and rolling in bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry patties in oil till golden brown.
  • Serve with sauce.
