  • 1 cup sprouted matki
  • ½ tsp. chilli powder
  • ½ tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. coriander powder
  • 2 onions
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tsp.sugar
  • 1 cup scraped coconut
  • ½ lemon
  • ¼ cup coriander leaves
  • 5 tbsp. oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Matki Usal(Sprouted Matki or moth with spices)

  • Heat oil and fry chopped onions till light brown.
  • Add cleaned matki, whole green chillies, chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and water.
  • Cook till soft. Then add sugar and salt.
  • Add coconut and coriander leaves.
  • Squeeze lemon juice over and serve with chapatis.
