Ingredients

  • Suji - 2 cups
  • Ghee - 2-3 cups
  • Raisin - 1/4 cup
  • Cashewnut - 1/4 cup
  • Elaichi/Cardamom (green) - 4, powdered
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Banana - 1, mashed
  • Saffron - a pinch
  • Milk - as needed

How to Make Meetha Suji Ka

  • Mash the banana, mix saffron to it and leave aside.
  • Roast the cashewnuts and raisins in ghee in a thick bottom pan.
  • Add suji and sugar and mix thoroughly.
  • Add a little milk to get the right consistency.
  • Cook on low flame, making sure the suji does not stick to the sides of the pan.
  • When the suji is well cooked, add the banana-saffron mixture and powdered cardamom and mix well.
  • Serve hot or cold.
