Ingredients

  • 250 g - horse gram( choliya)
  • 250g - minced mushroom
  • 2 tsp - chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup - chopped onion
  • 2 cup - chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tsp - chopped green chilli
  • 1 tsp - grated ginger
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - butter
  • 4 tsp - olive oil

How to Make Mushroom Choliya ( Horse gram with mushroom)

  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic, onion, ginger.
  • Saute for a minute ( let it remain kacha paka or partially cooked ).
  • Add all spices and salt, stir and add chilli and tomatoes.
  • To this add washed horse gram and stir, cover the lid till horse gram are cooked( stir frequently).
  • Now add mushrooms and open the lid.
  • Mushroom will leave water so stir repeatedly till the water evaporates and the oil comes out.
  • Garnish with coriander and butter.
  • Serve with naan or rice.
