  • 2 Cups - Rice flour
  • 1.5 cups - Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - Red chori (Optional)
  • 4 - Cardamom
  • 3 inch piece - Coconut, cut it into small pieces

How to Make Nolumb Adai

  • Dry roast the rice flour in medium heat till all the moisture is gone (approx 15 minutes).
  • Cook the red chori separately till it is soft.
  • Boil 2 cups of water, add the brown sugar.
  • When it dissolves add the rice flour, 2 tsp oil and mix well without any lumps.
  • Add cardamom, cooked red chori, coconut and cook it in low heat for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Take a small portion of the batter roll it out like a chapatti with medium thickness of 4 inch diameter. Steam it in the cooker for 5 minutes without the weight.
  • Serve it hot with butter.
