  • 1 cup - basmati rice (washed and drained).
  • 1 cup - peas.
  • 1 cup - coriander leaves, finely chopped.
  • 1 cup - mint leaves.
  • 4 - garlic cloves.
  • 1 - big onion, chopped.
  • 2 tsp - rasam powder.
  • 1 cup - milk.
  • 1 cup - water.
  • 1 tsp - jeera.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Some grated coconut (optional).
  • Lemon juice.

How to Make Nutritious Peas Pulao

  • Heat some oil in a pressure pan, then add the jeera into it. When it splutters, add the coriander, mint and onions. Saute until onions are half cooked.
  • Now add the washed rice and peas, and heat for 2 mins.
  • Add the water, milk and the rasam powder. Cook under pressure for 3 whistles.
  • Before serving the pulao, add the lemon juice and coconut on top. Serve with some raitha.
