  • Besan (chickpeas flour) - 2.5 cups
  • Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar - 1 to 1.5 cups
  • Coarsely powdered cashew nuts - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Melted ghee (cooled) - 1-1.5 cups

How to Make Plain Besan Laddoo

  • Heat 3 tbsp of ghee and roast both the flours together till light brown and fragrant. Let the mixture cool.
  • Mix in the powdered sugar, cashew nuts, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
  • Add remaining ghee, a little at a time, mixing well till the mixture is bound together and can be shaped.
  • Take small lumps of the mixture and shape into laddoos.
