  • 1 cup - pottukkadalai powder (no need to fry the pottukkadalai).
  • 4 cups - rice flour.
  • 2-3 - onions.
  • 2 - green chillies.
  • salt to taste.
  • 1 tsp- red chilli powder (if necessary).
  • curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  • oil to deep fry.
  • 1 tsp - ghee.

How to Make Plain Pottukkadalai Bonda

  • Cut onions into very small pieces and mix it with salt.
  • Mash the onions well and add pottukkadalai powder, rice flour, finely cut green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves, chilli powder and ghee.
  • Mix everything well and add a little water if necessary.
  • Make small balls out of this dough and deep fry in oil.
  • Take it out from the oil when it turns into golden colour.
  • Have it with coconut chutney.
