  • 2 cups - raw rice
  • 1/4 cup - grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp - red chilli powder
  • 4 cups - shredded pumpkin
  • 1 - onion
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds (optional)
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Plain Pumpkin dosa

  • Soak the rice for about 4 hours.
  • Grind it to a smooth paste along with coconut, chilli powder and shredded pumpkin.
  • Add salt. Keep it covered for about 5 to 6 hrs or over night.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Season with mustard and cumin seeds.
  • Add finely chopped onion and saute for a few minutes till the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add this to the dosa batter.
  • Heat a dosa tawa, smear with oil and make dosas.
  • Serve hot with the chutney or sambar of your choice.
