Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Chana (pressure cooked with salt)
  • 1 - small sliced Onion
  • 4-5 - cloves
  • 1-2 - cinnamon
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1 tsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 3-4 tbsp - tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • For garnishing:
  • 4 - green chillies
  • A few long pieces of ginger
  • A few coriander leaves

How to Make Quick Chole

  • Place a kadai on the stove and add oil.
  • When it gets hot, add the jeera and ginger-garlic paste.
  • Add onion pieces and saute till it becomes brown.
  • Pour in the puree, add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, cloves and cinnamon and mix well.
  • Stir till the oil leaves the sides.
  • Then add the boiled chana and some water to it. Keep boiling it for 5 minutes.
  • Add the garam masala to it. Remove from fire.
  • Fry the ginger pieces in some oil and garnish chana with the ginger pieces, chillies and coriander leaves.
