  • 1 - Mango
  • 1/2 cup - fresh cream, chilled
  • 1/4 cup - powdered sugar
  • 1 drop - Vanilla essence
  • 1/2 packet - China grass
  • 1.5 cups - water
  • 1/2 - ripe mango for garnishing

How to Make Quick Mango Sorbet

  • Peel and chop the mangoes, then mash them into a coarse pulp.
  • Break China grass into small pieces. Heat water in a pan, add the China grass to it and stir continuously till fully dissolved.
  • Strain and allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Add mango pulp, sugar, and vanilla essence. Chill till partially set.
  • Beat cream till smooth. Add to partially set mixture. Beat till well blended.
  • Set again till firm. Do not allow to freeze till hard.
  • The mixture should be scoopable and grainy.
  • Serve chilled, garnished with slices or pieces of ripe mangoes.
