Ingredients

  • Rice - 2 cups
  • Mutton - 1/2 kg
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic and ginger paste - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 2 tbsp or according to taste
  • Dhania powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 big
  • Tomato - 2
  • Coriander - 4 stems
  • Mint - 2 stems
  • Lemon juice - few drops
  • Coconut paste - 1 tbsp
  • Powdered cloves, elaichi, cinnamon - 2 each
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Quick Mutton Biryani

  • Pour oil and ghee in a pressure cooker.
  • Add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste. After it's fried well, add tomatoes and fry it on a low flame.
  • Add chilli powder, dhania powder, salt and coconut paste.
  • Then add the mutton and pour some water.
  • Add 1.5 cup water to 2 cups of rice.
  • When the mutton is cooked, add rice, coriander, mint, powdered spices and lemon juice.
  • Keep on low flame till the rice is cooked.
  • For raita add chopped onion, chilli, coriander, mint, salt, few drops of lemon juice to the curd.
