  • 1 cup - rava
  • 1 - onion (small)
  • 1 - tomato (medium)
  • 3 - garlic
  • small quantity-black gram dal
  • small quantity -Bengal gram dal
  • small quantity- green peas
  • small quantity-turmeric powder
  • small quantity - curry leaves
  • small quantity -mustard
  • salt
  • 4 tbsp - oil

How to Make Rava Khichadi

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a kadai/pan and fry rava for 5 minutes. Keep it aside.
  • Add 3 tbsp of oil in the same kadai/pan, splutter mustard, black gram dal, Bengal gram dal and curry leaves.
  • Then fry onion followed by tomatoes and green peas (boiled), and fry for some time.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt, garlic and fry for some time.
  • Add 2 cups of water to it and close it with a lid. Allow it to boil.
  • Then add fried rava to this and mix well.
