Ingredients

  • 1 cup - semolina
  • 3/4 cup - buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp - onions (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • Some cilantro leaves (chopped) as desired
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required

How to Make Ready to make oothapam

  • Mix semolina and buttermilk and keep aside for 2 hours.
  • Then add all the above ingredients except oil and mix.
  • Add water if required.
  • Heat a non stick pan and grease it with a spoonful of oil.
  • Add a ladleful of batter and spread it quickly.
  • Let it cook on medium flame.
  • Add some oil from the sides.
  • Cover and cook for some minutes.
  • Then turn and cook the other side.
  • Remove when done.
  • Serve with coconut chutney or ketchup.
