  • 2 cups - Gram flour
  • 1.5 cups - Red rice flour
  • 1 tbsp - Butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp - Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida powder
  • Salt
  • Oil for Deep Frying

How to Make Red Rice Murukku

  • Take the gram flour, red rice flour, butter, sesame seeds, asafoetida powder and salt in a large bowl and mix well.
  • Add water to turn into soft and smooth dough.
  • Take the murukku press with your choice of nozzle, heat the oil for Deep Frying, squeeze out directly the murukku dough into the hot oil and fry.
  • Drain the murukkus on paper towel and store them in an air tight box.
