  • 1 cup - rice
  • 1 cup - jaggery
  • 1/2 cup - cream
  • Baking soda, a pinch
  • Elaichi powder - as per need

How to Make Rice and Jaggery Pancakes

  • Soak the rice overnight, drain it and powder it dry (or use ready-made rice flour).
  • Roast the rice flour.
  • Take a pan, add the jaggery and water to it and once it melts, add elaichi powder to it.
  • Strain it.
  • Meanwhile, take a baking dish and grease it with oil.
  • Now, slowly add the jaggery syrup to the rice flour along with the baking soda and cream. Mix it well and make a thick batter.
  • Pour it into the baking dish and steam it for 15 minutes.
  • Once it is slightly cool, cut it into square pieces and serve it for breakfast or even as a snack.
