  • 500 gm - Prawns (washed and deveined)
  • 2 - Big onions (sliced)
  • 1 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 15 - Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • To grind:
  • 5 - Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander seeds
  • 3 - Cloves
  • 1 inch stick - Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp - Poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp - Coconut (grated)

How to Make Royallu Mudda Kura - Prawn Curry

  • Marinate the prawns in salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder for a few minutes.
  • Grind the ingredients in the 'To grind' list into a fine paste with enough water.
  • Cook the marinated prawns until the water from the prawns disappears.
  • Heat enough oil in a pan and saute the onions and curry leaves until they turn transparent.
  • Add the ground paste and cook well in medium flame.
  • Add the cooked prawns to the paste and vegetables and cook until the water from the vegetables disappears.
