Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 6 cloves - garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 - 2 tsp - soy sauce
  • 1 - capsicum, cut into small cubes
  • 5 - sausages, cut into 1/8-inch roundels
  • 2 cups - cooked and cooled rice
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder

How to Make Sausage Fried Rice

  • Cut sausage into thin slices and keep it aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan.
  • Reduce heat to medium, add sliced sausages and shallow fry it till they are soft and light brown in color.
  • In another pan, heat remaining 1 tbsp of oil.
  • Add chopped onions and fry till they are pink in color and fragrant.
  • Add chopped garlic to it and fry for 3 - 4 minutes.
  • Add capsicum pieces and fry it for 3 minutes.
  • Add shallow fried sausages and stir it well.
  • Add cooked and cooled rice, soy sauce and salt to it. Mix it well.
  • Do not cover it with lid. Stir it continuously and fry for 5 minutes on low heat until the rice and sausages are well mixed with all the ingredients.
  • Sprinkle pepper powder and serve it with any gravy dishes of your choice.
