  • 250 gms. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. caraway seeds (ajwain seeds)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp. ghee

How to Make Savoury Caraway Straws

  • Sift flour with salt.
  • Rub in ghee, with fingertips till mixture resembles breadrumbs.
  • Add caraway seeds.
  • Add sufficient water (1/2 to 1 cup) to make a soft dough.
  • Knead till smooth. Roll out thinly on a floured board.
  • Cut into diamond shapes with a sharp knife.
  • Fry them and store or serve when cooked.
