  • Chidwa : 250 g
  • Refined oil - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Haldi - 1/2 tsp
  • green chillies - 2
  • Onion - 2 (sliced)
  • Cauliflower - 1 bowl (chopped)
  • Peas - 1 bowl (peeled)
  • Groundnuts - 10 g
  • Coconut - 50 g (finely chopped)
  • salt - to taste
  • A few curry leaves and a handful of coriander leaves

How to Make Shahi Chidwa

  • Heat oil in a kadai. Firstly, fry the peeled groundnuts and chopped coconut till it turns light brown and take them out of kadai.
  • In the same leftover oil, put in mustard seeds, curry leaves and finely chopped green chillies.
  • Fry sliced onions, chopped cauliflower and peas for 7-8 mins. Then put in haldi powder and salt as per taste.
  • Simultaneously, wash the chidwas under the tap in an open strainer for two minutes till it becomes wet.
  • Lastly, mix the drained chidwas, fried groundnut and coconut with the other ingredients in the kadai.
  • Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
