Ingredients

  • 100 gms - milk khoya
  • 20 gms - flour (maida)
  • 20 gms - semolina
  • 200 ml - milk
  • 5 gms - fennel seeds
  • Ghee to fry
  • 500 gms - sugar
  • 2 cups - water
  • 2 tbsp - dry fruits
  • 400 gms - maida for the roll

How to Make Shahi sweet roll

  • Mix the khoya, flour, semolina, milk and fennel seeds and make a smooth batter.
  • In a pan, heat ghee and fry the malpuwas. Make a syrup with the sugar and water.
  • Dip the fried malpuwas in the sugar syrup.
  • Move it to a tray and garnish with dry fruits.
  • To make the roll, make a dough of maida and flour and add some melted ghee and make a hard dough. Make small balls and with a rolling pin make small puris.
  • Roll the malpuwas and put in on top of the puris.
  • Roll the sides of the puris and fold in the shape of a toffee.
  • Then fry them in a pan on low heat and serve piping hot.
