Ingredients

  • 2 bunches of spinach
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 bunch khatti palak
  • 2 cups - mixed vegetables (carrots, brinjals, gavar etc.)
  • 3-4 green chillies
  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - chopped methi
  • 1 large potato
  • 1/2 cup - chana dal (soaked for 1 hour)
  • 1 tsp - ginger paste
  • 1.5 tsp - coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Simple Sai bhaji

  • Chop all leafy vegetables coarsely.
  • Chop the potatoes and onions finely.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and lightly fry the garlic.
  • Add methi and fry for one minute. Add all the vegetables and other ingredients.
  • Add salt and enough water and cook till dal is tender.
  • Open cooker when cool and mash all vegetables with beater to form a kind of thick paste.
  • Serve with rice and papad.
