Ingredients

  • 3 whole medium size trout, pomfret or any other fish.
  • 2 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - lime juice
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder 1 tsp - spice powder or garam masala
  • 2 tbsp - flour
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste.

How to Make Spicy Baked Trout Or Pomfret

  • Trim, clean and remove the insides of the fish. Then wash well.
  • Mix the vinegar, lime juice, ginger garlic paste, salt, chilli powder, spice powder and flour in a bowl.
  • Slit the fish side ways and make a few gashes on top with knife.
  • Apply the paste all over the fish and inside as well. Let it marinate for about 30 mins.
  • Place the fish in a buttered baking dish. Drizzle oil all over.
  • Bake in a moderate oven (355 degrees F) for 25-30 mins.
  • Serve with bread or rice.
