Ingredients

  • 1 kg - pork, with its fat and lard cut into medium pieces
  • 3 big - onions, sliced finely
  • 3 big - tomatoes pureed
  • 1 tbsp - Cumins powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 3 tsp - chilli powder
  • 8 or 10 - curry leaves
  • 3 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • salt
  • To powder:
  • 3 cardamoms
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 sticks of cinnamon
  • 2 tsp of aniseeds or saunf

How to Make Spicy pork curry

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add the mustard seeds to it.
  • When they begin to crackle, add the curry leaves and onions and fry it till they are golden brown in colour.
  • Add the chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, powdered spices, ginger-garlic paste to it and fry for some time.
  • Add the pork, salt, tomato puree to it and keep frying it for some time.
  • Add sufficient water and pressure cook it for about 20 mins on high heat till the pork is cooked.
