  • 2 cups rice (plain)
  • 2 tbsps coriander seeds
  • 4 to 5 red chillies
  • 1 bunch spring onions (8-10 spring onions, finely chopped along with the leaves)
  • 1 tbsp salt or as per taste
  • oil for frying

How to Make Spring onion chatti

  • Soak the rice along with red chilli and coriander seeds for 2-3 hours. Grind adding a little water.
  • The batter should be of idli consistency and a little coarse.
  • Mix the finely chopped spring onions well in the batter.
  • Heat a tawa. Spread a little oil on it, then put about 3 tbsp of batter on the tawa and spread it like a dosa but not thin.
  • It should be a little thick.
  • Pour one tsp oil around the dosa, let it cook till golden brown and cool.
  • Now turn and cook the other side too the same way.
  • You will get about 8-10 chattis with this batter.
  • Serve hot with thick curd.
