Ingredients

  • Spring onions - 4 bunches
  • Fresh red chillies or green chillies - 8
  • Tamarind - ping pong-sized ball
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt - a pinch

How to Make Spring Onion Chutney

  • Wash spring onions and cut into pieces.
  • Heat oil in kadai, add spring onions, salt, tamarind, red chillies and stir. Cover with a lid.
  • After spring onions have become soft, remove lid and fry for 5 mins.
  • Let it cool and then grind it.
  • The chutney goes well with hot rice.
