Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - sprouted horse gram (cooked with a pinch of salt)
  • 1/2 cup - Onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato (chopped)
  • 3 - green chillies (slit vertically)
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp - fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/4 cup - coconut
  • 4 - cashew nuts (full) (can be replaced with roasted gram)
  • Salt, as needed
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Coriander - for garnishing

How to Make Sprouted Horse gram Kurma

  • Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf and fennel.
  • Then add onion, green chillies and tomato. Fry well.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix well.
  • Add water and salt. Allow the contents to cook well till the raw smell of turmeric powder goes.
  • Now, add cooked sprouted horse gram.
  • After 5 minutes, add the ground coconut and cashew.
  • Switch off the stove when contents thicken.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve with rice, chapatti, naan, etc.
