Ingredients

  • 75 gms. walnut halves
  • 6 tbsp. golden syrup
  • 100 gms. soft margarine
  • 100 gms. castor sugar
  • 100 gms. self raising flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 large eggs

How to Make Steamed Walnut Pudding

  • Put the walnuts on the bottom of a greased microwave proof bowl and spoon the golden syrup over.
  • Put remaining ingredients in a bowl and beat well.
  • Spoon mixture over the walnuts and cook on high for 7 mins. until cake springs back when lightly pressed.
  • Allow to stand for 3 mins. before turning out.
  • Serve with vanilla or custard sauce.
