  • 125 g -unsalted butter
  • 175 g- black treacle
  • 175 g -self raising flour
  • 175 g -oatmeal
  • 125 g -muscavado
  • 150 ml- milk
  • 2 tsp- ground ginger
  • 1- medium egg

How to Make Sticky Parkin

  • Preheat oven at 160 degree C. Grease a baking mould. Sieve flour and ginger powder together.
  • Heat milk and butter till it has melted.
  • Allow mixture to cool.
  • Add sugar and egg in the cooled mixture.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Pour into greased cake tin and bake for about 1 hour.
  • Allow to cool before serving.
