Ingredients

  • 1 kg - pomfret
  • For masala:
  • 1 tbsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • For stuffing:
  • 4 - onions
  • 4 - medium green chillies
  • A few sprigs - mint leaves
  • 1 tsp - garam-masala
  • 100 gms - plums
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 3 tbsp - ghee
  • 1 cup - cooking oil

How to Make Stuffed Fish Fry

  • Wash the fish and slit in the middle.
  • Keep the fish whole, except for the slit.
  • Mince all the ingredients for stuffing and fry it in ghee.
  • Apply turmeric powder, salt and the masala inside and outside the fish.
  • Fill the fish with stuffing.
  • Tie the fish with a string, so that the stuffing does not fall out.
  • Dip the fish in a batter of wheat flour and fry on low flame.
