Ingredients

  • 6 - potols
  • 4 - onions
  • 1 - potato
  • 2 - tomatoes
  • 3 - green chillies
  • 1 tsp - garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - jeera powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp - mustard oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Stuffed Potol

  • Slit the potols and take out the seeds and flesh.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil. Chop the onion and add. Fry for a minute.
  • Add the potol flesh and seeds. Add half a tomato, salt and turmeric powder. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stuff the fried ingredients into the potols and keep aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil. Cut and add the remaining 3 onions and fry for a minute.
  • Add the bay leaf and fry.
  • Cut and add the potato, remaining tomatoes, green chillies and garlic paste.
  • Add salt and turmeric powder and mix. Cook for a minute.
  • Add 2 cups of water. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the potols, jeera powder, garam masala and red chilli powder and mix.
  • Cook on low flame until the potols get cooked and the gravy becomes thick.
