Ingredients

  • minced meat - 1/2 kg
  • sweet corn kernels - 350 gm
  • grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • white poppy seeds (Khus Khus) - 2 tbsp
  • curd - 1 cup
  • milk - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • onion - 1/2 cup, sliced
  • garlic - 1 tsp, minced
  • ginger - 1 tsp, minced
  • chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • mint leaves - 2 tbsp
  • coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  • lime - 1
  • salt to taste

How to Make Sweet Corn and Minced Meat Haleem

  • Pressure cook minced meat with sweet corn, salt and about 1 cup of water for 15 minutes.
  • Roast coconut and poppy seeds till light brown.
  • Cool and grind to a paste.
  • Heat Ghee and fry onions till golden brown.
  • Add coconut paste and chilli powder. Fry till fragrant.
  • Add curd and simmer till oil floats on top.
  • Add the meat and corn mixture, simmer for few minutes.
  • Add milk and simmer till the mixture thickens to a semi-solid consistency.
  • Serve garnished with mint, coriander and slices of lime.
